Let me walk you through the latter part of 2016; GRAMMY SEASON! It’s a time where so many of us Independent Musicians are focused on the conveted Grammy Ballot, which can thus lead to a Grammy Nomination. And for me; I was a Grammy Contender this year for Best Rock Song for my song, Phoenix Rising Up!!! ? Although I didn’t make the Final 5 in the category, it’s an honor just to be recognized for my musical work. I feel privileged and honored. ?
With that being said, in May 2016, I found that I would be performing for Grammy Weekend 2017 at The Grammy Soiree. I couldn’t say anything except to my family and didn’t want too, because this was an undertaking. Not only did we sponsor the event, and by we, I mean mine and my husband’s company, Speller Productions. But I performed and my whole family traveled here from all over the country as well.
With all of that being said…the fashion, the hair and the makeup! Talk about an undertaking!! So many fittings, consults, colors!?? So much fun right…and so much hard work from my INCREDIBLE, LOYAL TEAM! ❤
Erica Bazzarrini, my longtime makeup artist, ?Lola Wusu, my longtime designer ?and Touch of Lily Salon, ??whom I’ve been with the longest; 10 years this year, created the most glamorous, edgy, feminine, Rock n Roll glamour that I’ve ever worn in my life!!!
I’m going to do four different posts relating to this one night, regarding all things fashion, music and beauty! ??But for right now, here are a few photos, from this incredible, magical, magical evening!! ??
